AJS Engineering Services was formed nearly 39 years ago in 1980 as an engineering and design consultancy concentrating in the mechanical and manufacturing sector of the industry. As the proprietor of the business, I have always maintained a practical approach to engineering issues via my interests in classic sports cars and transportation, particularly Jaguars which I first became involved with back in 1965. The business quickly and inevitably turned into an automotive engineering company.
Our Picture Gallery shows examples of cars restored and some work undertaken since 1989 and over the last 15 years, we have concentrated on Jaguar Axles and Jaguar Differentials with the occasional 6 cylinder E type and XK engine thrown in for good measure.
We are able to rebuild all Salisbury axles and Salisbury Differentials, including Thornton Powrlok units as fitted to Jaguars and other marques since 1955 and right through to modern Jaguars such as the Jaguar XJ8 and Jaguar XK8. Services provided include full axle unit rebuilds or just differentials. Axles rebuilt include examples from Aston Martin, Iso Grifo, Sunbeam Tiger, Scimitars. Shotblasting and Electroplating services are also available.
